Charlie scores big with catfish and bullhead on DFW waters!
Hot bite and happy crew! Charlie and I headed out early morning in late spring from Collin Park Marina with clearing skies rolling in for the afternoon. Water conditions were solid for our multi-species approach and Charlie was ready to get after it. We launched our 4-Hour Boat Trip with Capt. Carey Thorn – Seasonal Tactics and Multi-Species Action with Carey Thorn Fishing.
Once the stage was set, we worked jigging and bottom fishing techniques across prime DFW lake structure. Charlie pulled in some solid Black Bullhead along with Channel Catfish that were hammered down on our presentations. The casting bite stayed consistent as conditions improved through the morning. DFW lakes are perfect for this kind of multi-species action because the structure holds different fish at various depths and y'all can really dial in what's working. We wrapped up with great catches and Charlie had that tug is the drug grin going strong!
This Trip is One Click Away
If you're fixin' to get out on DFW waters, our Private Half-Day Lake Fishing Charter in DFW Guided Trip is perfect for targeting multiple species like we did with Charlie. I reckon the seasonal tactics we use really make the difference - from jigging deeper structure to bottom fishing the productive zones where catfish and bullhead concentrate. The 4-hour format gives us plenty of time to work different techniques and find what's producing. DFW lake fishing offers consistent action for anglers who want to experience that multi-species bite we're known for. Shoot me a text and let's get you set up for your own DFW fishing adventure with Carey Thorn Fishing!
